Post 2: [Part 2 of 3] Step out of the textbook into “Real Situations”
Title: Beyond Word Lists: Why You Should Practice English in Real Situations
In our last post, we talked about the importance of speaking from the very beginning without worrying about perfect grammar. So, what kind of practice is actually effective?
Practice real situations, not just isolated words
In real conversations, words don’t appear as lists or grammar textbooks. They appear in situations.
Sky English School is a real situation for kids, teens, and adults to have weekly regular English encounters!
For example, we practice:
- ordering food
- introducing yourself
- asking for directions and practicing all kinds of questions and answers
- saying you don’t understand
- responding when someone asks a question and giving your opinions on things
Once you start practicing English by situation, English will feel much more practical.
In the final part, we will look into how to turn your knowledge into an actual skill by building your “speaking reflex.” Don’t miss it!
